Activity	Transport for the elderly and those unable to use public transport.
Details	Congresbury Carers is a small voluntary organisation which started about 20 years ago. We have a committed group of volunteer drivers who provide transport for the elderly and for people who are unable to use public transport to and from hospital. A charge of 40p per mile is made for this service. We also provide transport to the doctor’s surgery,dentist and chiropodist but a contribution only is asked for this service. We do provide a shopping service but on a short term basis only. Some small grants may be given towards essential help in the home.

Congresbury Community Transport (Bluey)
Activity	A wheelchair-accessible Minibus scheme. Providing transport for indivduals and groups in the village and other local areas including social outings from local care homes.
Details	Bluey may be hired by any local groups and comes complete with trained driver. There is an emphasis on making the bus available to those who, through reasons such as disability or age, may be prevented from using other means of transport. However, the vehicle is also available for social trips, events and sporting occasions. Congresbury Community Transport is run as a non-profit making venture and is staffed entirely by un-paid volunteers. This enables running costs and, therefore, hire charges to be kept at a minimum.
